The Scottish-American Society of Rhode Island (SASRI) was formed in 1923 as a non-profit. Today we welcome anyone who has an interest Scottish culture and history for social events and gatherings.

Our Mission

We foster community engagement by hosting social events, educational programs, and welcoming all who share an interest in Scotland’s rich history, culture, and traditions.

Everyone is welcome, whether you are of Scottish descent or just interested in Scottish culture!

Join us for Scottish Country Dancing

We meet twice a month from October through June. All skill levels and ages are welcome; no prior knowledge or experience required. Just come have fun!

The Scottish-American Society is always looking for fresh ideas and help with events from its membership.  There are many volunteer opportunities to meet a variety of interests.
