While some of our members wear the tartan of their ancestral clan, many of our members wear this tartan that we are proud to call our own. The Rhode Island Tartan is proprietary to the Scottish-American Society of RI and is only available for purchase as neckties, sashes or kilts to members and the general public.

Kilts
All kilts are custom made by R & I Macdonald Kiltmakers in West Calder, Scotland. You must complete a self-measurement form; click here for the forms with instructions and price list, and click here for a video illustrating how to take kilt measurements. Note: until further notice, kilts will be subject to a substantial tariff and brokerage fee totaling approximately $90.
