The SASRI Tasting Team Will Explore New, Unique, and Very Special Whisky Offerings Complete With Food Pairings Sunday, April 26th, 2026 at 3PM Lafeyette Lodge #47, Cumberland, Rhode Island Limited to 50 Paid Tasters.
Member Taster – $60 per person (Non-member $70)
Member Non-taster – $30 per person (Non-member $40)

This event will be opened to the public on April 6th – online ticket sales will be available then.
Note: Members of the Scottish-American Society who purchase their tickets on-line will receive a $10 discount which will be credited to their card after purchase.
This year’s tasting includes an auction of a prize bottle from a past tasting as well as a representative from “The Deacon” distillery who will provide samples of The Deacon blended single malt whisky.

Beltane - A Celtic Tradition
Beltane is a deeply rooted Scottish tradition typically celebrated on May 1st, the half way point between Spring and Summer. It’s also considered a time when the boundary between our world and the fairy world is thin, and serves as a celebration of fire, fertility and the return of summer.
Join us for this joyous occasion at St. Barnabas’ Episcopal Church, 3257 Post Rd, Warwick as we celebrate these time honored traditions. We’ll have offerings to the Wild Fae, crafts, celebration ribbons, food & drinks, and lots more – All ages welcome!

RI Football Club "Scotland Night"

Calling all Scots & Scots at Heart! Join the RI Football Club and The Scottish-American Society of RI on Saturday, May 23rd as we celebrate Scottish Heritage leading up to Scotland’s appearance in the the World Cup! Each package purchased comes with your ticket to RIFC vs. Brooklyn FC + a special RIFC x Scotland Scarf for you to showcase your Scottish pride. Scarves will be available for pickup at the sales table located outside Section 131 on game day.
The RIFC match will be held at Centreville Bank Stadium, 11 Tidewater Street, Pawtucket, RI – the official home of the RIFC. Besides a great game, the evening includes performances by the RI Professional Firefighters Pipes and Drums Band, Scottish Dance Performance, and perhaps an appearance by the Providence Police Clydesdale Horses! We look forward to celebrating with you!

Tartan Picnic

Tartan Bash

The Scottish-American Society of RI’s Tartan Bash will be held October 17, 2026 at Chelos Banquet Room, 2225 Post Road, Warwick, RI. Join us for a cocktail reception from 6:00 – 6:45 p.m., followed by a full buffet and dessert. The night will include the traditional Address to a Haggis and plenty of Ceilidh Dancing, Oh yes, and Haggis!
Wearing of the Tartan is encouraged! If your wardrobe is lacking, please visit our shop where ties and sashes in the official Rhode Island Tartan are available for purchase at a reasonable price.

Christmas Ceilidh

The Christmas Cèilidh is a potluck event open to members and their guests, and will be held at the Lafayette Lodge, 680 Nate Whipple Highway, Cumberland, RI. The evening will include dancing, musical performances by members of the Society, and raffle baskets supporting our Scottish Dancing Club.
Each guest brings a dish to share; this is a BYOB event if you desire. The event is FREE FOR MEMBERS; non-members pay a nominal entrance fee of $5 per person to be collected at the door.
Please bring a homemade or store prepared dish – No Pizza or fast food please!
Attendees are kindly asked to bring a non-perishable offering for a local food bank.
