Immerse yourself in the enchanting side of historic haunted Providence as night settles over the city!
A Ghostly Journey on the Water
Step aboard for a special collaboration with Providence Ghost Tours, the city’s longest‑running and most beloved ghost tour company. Their master storytellers bring centuries of haunted history to life as you glide along the darkened waterways of downtown Providence aboard our open‑air vessels.
A Night of Spooky Fun
Bring friends, family, or anyone who loves some ghostly history. This nighttime cruise blends atmospheric storytelling with the haunting beauty of Providence by moonlight, creating an experience that’s equal parts eerie and unforgettable.
Tickets are first come first serve as the tour is limited to 17 seats. Children must be ten or older. Your ticket is not reserved until payment is received! Tickets will be distributed the night of the sail.

Tartan Bash

The Scottish-American Society of RI’s Tartan Bash will be held October 17, 2026 at Chelos Banquet Room, 2225 Post Road, Warwick, RI. Join us for a cocktail reception from 5:00 – 5:45 p.m., followed by a full buffet* and dessert. The night will include a raffle, a traditional Address to a Haggis and plenty of Ceilidh Dancing, Oh yes, and Haggis!
*Buffet includes Chicken, Fish and Vegetarian Options.
Wearing of the Tartan is encouraged! If your wardrobe is lacking, please visit our shop where ties and sashes in the official Rhode Island Tartan are available for purchase at a reasonable price.

Children 4-10 may choose from the Buffet or Chicken Fingers & Fries: $25
Children under 4 may eat from the buffet for FREE. If they prefer Chicken Fingers and Fries, the cost is $25.
A Gluten Free/Dairy Free meal is available: Grilled Chicken, Broccoli and Baked Potato; a GF/DF dessert will be provided.

“Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan” is a Scottish-American worship service that celebrates the Scottish identity. The name combines “kirk,” the Scottish word for church, and “tartan,” the plaid cloth that symbolizes Scottish clans. The modern service includes bagpipes and a procession of clan banners, and is based on an oral tradition of secretly blessing family tartans during a time when the wearing of tartan was forbidden after the Battle of Culloden.

Christmas Ceilidh

The Christmas Cèilidh is a potluck event open to members and their guests, and will be held at the Lafayette Lodge, 680 Nate Whipple Highway, Cumberland, RI. The evening will include dancing, musical performances by members of the Society, and raffle baskets supporting our Scottish Dancing Club.
Each guest brings a dish to share; this is a BYOB event if you desire. The event is FREE FOR MEMBERS; non-members pay a nominal entrance fee of $5 per person to be collected at the door.
Please bring a homemade or store prepared dish – No Pizza or fast food please!
Attendees are kindly asked to bring a non-perishable offering for a local food bank.

63rd Annual Burns Supper
The Scottish-American Society of RI is hosting its 63rd Annual Burns Supper honoring Scotland’s Poet Laureate, Robert Burns.
Join us January 30th, 2027 at the historic Rhodes on the Pawtuxet Ballroom 60 Rhodes Place, Cranston RI—Cocktail Hour XXX PM to XXX PM with Plated Dinner and Festivities to Follow, ending with Auld Lang Syne at XXX. Join us for an enchanting evening honoring The Bard himself, Robert Burns.
Delight in a Scottish Dinner and Celtic music by the Dashing Rock Trio as well as traditional Scottish customs, the skirl o’ the pipes and other entertainment. Try your luck at our Scottish-themed raffle featuring a liquor basket of Scottish Spirits along with other prizes. Conclude the evening with spirited Ceilidh dancing—our professional caller makes it easy for everyone to dance—novices and the experienced alike!
This family-friendly event is open to Scots and Scots at Heart. Come connect with your Scottish heritage, or simply enjoy a lively night out!
Meal options range from $XX – $XX for adults and $XX for children 12 and Under. SASRI Members will receive a $10 discount on all Adult meals. (Now might be a good time to join!) Tickets prices will increase after January XX; all tickets must be purchased by January XX.
Refund Policy
If you cannot attend, please contact James Kelleher at 401-524-6035 so that your name and meal can be placed on the Cancellation List. If we are able to sell your ticket to another guest, your money will be refunded (excluding any service charges incurred by you via electronic reservations).
Note: the charge on your credit card statement will appear as TL*Burns Supper 2026.
